| After winning his first Super Bowl, Adam Vinatieri and his wife Valerie had intended to add a big screen TV and a few zones of multi-room audio to their new home. This plan was soon expanded as the couple experienced the range of options available during a visit to our showroom. The final project specs included a dedicated home theater system, whole house audio system and security - automation control system. |

| With the exception of the basement, the Vinatieri's house was completely finished. The biggest challenge we faced was designing a wiring plan that would exclude our having to drill through new drywall. A solution was found that allowed us to use cubbies and closets for routing points within the house. Even with the wiring restrictions the pre-wiring for the home theater system, automation – security system and 8 zones of whole house audio was completed in only 5 days. |

| The basement space includes a bar/game room as well as the home theater system. A Poweline Control Systems lighting system allows full programmable lighting control of this area and allows for various lighting "scenes" to be accessed at the touch of a button. The 8 zones of whole-house audio include the bar/game room, exercise room and dining room locations as well as an outdoor hot tub area. No matter where they are in the house, the Vinatieri's are never far from a Russound keypad offering independent source and volume control for each audio zone. The 14 x 20 home theater room features a 96" Stewart Firehawk screen and an InFocus DLP projector and was outfited with acoustic treatments by SoundWalls which helped isolate the space from the rest of the house. A recessed soffit in the ceiling helps to further diffuse the sound and eliminate reflections. A Lexicon remote allows for full AV system control and offers a portal to the security system whose cameras can be called up onscreen at the touch of a button. In fact, all of these technologies are so seamlessly integrated that all major functions are accessed with a single button press. When Adam and Valerie want to watch a movie on their new home theater system, they simply press the THEATER button and the lighting dims and equipment turns on. When they are finished, another button press turns the equipment off, ramps the lighting back up and plays background music for two minutes. The nicest thing is that all of the home's automation functions remain completely programmable should circumstances dictate a change. Adam and Valerie love the features of their new smart home and can't imagine living without the convenience and control it affords them. |
